Only Time Will Tell.....

Well it has been while since I posted, sorry for that! Things have been very busy! I have boot camp tonight and I can't wait! I have been going for three weeks now and I love it! I have lost several inches and can really tell a difference! I have also started back up at going to spin class twice a week so that will help even more!

This weekend was interesting, to say the least. I cleaned and did laundry like normal and then on Sunday my husband and Father-in-law went and picked up a big screen TV from a friends house that they gave us and a Mini Fridge! So now I have two TV's, two DVD players, and two fridges in the same room....Lets just say it looks crazy in there right now! I am hoping that my husband will have moved the smaller TV and DVD player into the bedroom by the time I get home! (we will see if this actually gets done before next weekend!)

Boot camp....

Last night was the first night of fitness boot camp for me and let me say that I am sore!!! It rocked my socks off! I can defiantly tell that it is going to get me in shape really quickly! As we were going through the workout my legs even started to tremble and as today has gone on I keep getting more and more sore! It is a good kind of sore though and I can't wait for class tomorrow! The normal trainer is out of town so it should be interesting!

The Start of Something New....

So I went to the doctor last week for a normal check up and was told that I needed to lose 25 pounds!!! At first I was thinking "great! this is just the motivation I needed to kick it into high gear." Then my mind switched to " wait a minute she just called me fat!!!" Once the thought lingered in my head for a while I began to get really depressed and couldn't believe that I had let myself go so far......then I snapped out of that and decided to do something about it! I have joined a fitness boot camp! I have heard great things about them and I think it is just what I need to get back on the right track! So I will update as I go through it and I am sure that there will be plenty of funny and crazy things that happen to me due to the fact that I am a klutz! Tonight is the first night and I will let you know tomorrow as to how it goes! I hope that you get a little something out my experience and if nothing else a good laugh!

Hello!

Hello! Let me start off by saying that I love life and I look forward to sharing things that happen on my journey with you! I will warn you that you will laugh and hopefully will get something useful out of the crazy things that happen along the way!

My name is Jennifer and eleven months and 3 days ago I married the most amazing man and moved over half way across the country! Yes crazy things have happened since then but I think you will like the story of how my husband and I met!

In May of 2007 I went on a trip with my mom to Raleigh North Carolina for a Bird Show. Yes that is right a Bird Show! So, on the way she starts telling me about the people that I will meet at this bird show. She starts with Josh who is the master mind behind all things great and then she tells me about Alex who is around my age and is a great fun loving guy! I was like awesome there will be people my age and fun! (little did I know how much fun!) Once we finally got there we went to a hog roast and met everyone. I was so car sick from the drive that I could barely eat! After the roast we went to Josh's house to hang out and get to know everyone a little bit better. I was trying to stand off by myself and just take it all in, but no, Alex and Josh would have none of that! We ended up laughing and talking and having a great time! The next day was the show and I kept finding myself looking for Alex and wanting to talk to him and just be around him. Then I found my self coming up with reasons why not to like him! After the show was over everyone went to Josh's house for a cook out and party! It was the best time! There was a cartwheel contest (I won, but Alex thinks he did), an epic cupcake fight, and just an all around great time! The next day I had to leave and head back to Illinois not knowing what amazing things lied ahead.

During the course of the following year I hit many bumps in the road and didn't really see the light at the end of the tunnel so to say. The guy I thought I was going to marry broke up with me, I lost both of my grandparents within a few weeks of each other and I moved to Indianapolis to do an internship that I thought was going to be amazing that ended up almost ruining me, and I got my toothbrush peed on at a Special Needs Retreat camp I helped out at, but through it all there was always someone there texting me and trying to get me to talk to them even when I didn't want to! To my surprise I received a phone call from Alex on my last day at my internship asking me if I could stay a little longer than normal. I was like "sure, of course I can! Why?" He had sent me flowers for my last day!!! Unfortunately since it was the Friday before Mother's day, they didn't get to deliver my flowers. Oh well! I ended up getting them the following Monday and they were beautiful!!!! Not to mention that it was the first time that anyone had sent me flowers!

Later in the same month was the annual bird show in North Carolina and I was so excited to go this time because it had been a year since I had seen everyone, especially Alex! I was so nervous that I was shaking! When I saw him he had his back to me, but once he turned around I ran and jumped into his arms and knew that he was the man I wanted to marry. And the rest is history!
